reflective narrative
After the Pre-Capstone course taught last semester, this WLC Major Capstone course took the planning from Pre-Capstone and made it a complete idea. The most content-heavy portion of our Capstone was surely the survey that was required to create over Google Forms in both languages, English and Japanese. This required pilot-testing, participation from other students who were native speakers of each language, and approval from our professors.
We completed our capstone presentations as well as essays in this course as well, which also had to be done in both languages. The most challenging portion was certainly the translation aspect, as not every phrase in English can be perfectly translated into Japanese. However, this experience taught me more than just language skills, but also got me to work with other people including my professors, my partner, classmates, and other students who pilot-tested, took, and shared my survey. This course assists in building up material and confidence for the final presentation, which is the WLC Major Capstone to be held on May 19, 2023. Please read more about my partner and I's project and find evidence for this course in the tab titled "Capstone Project"
