REflective narrative
Prompt: Write a reflective statement for each of the following Major Learning Outcomes (MLO) supported by samples of your best work related to this MLO. Do not just list courses and what you learned from each course, but rather provide reflective narrative by describing connections to your learning related to the outcomes for each MLO. Note that each MLO has several outcomes.
In Pre-Capstone and the Capstone course, I utilized and learned of many different forms of technology to assist our final project research, such as Zotero, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Weebly, and more. In terms of our research project, we were assisted in learning how to collect our sources, utilize the library for citation and research guidance, and how to accurately portray our data by librarian Sarah Dahlen. In courses throughout my time at CSUMB, I have learned also about different language assistance applications such as the Rikai-kun extension, Kakijun, Chuuta, OJAD, and more. OJAD especially was really helpful in my time during JAPN401, as it helped me analyze pitch-accent and gain a proper pronunciation for Japanese words. Although a slightly different form of techonology, many of my courses and finally my Capstone course required us to take the STAMP test. This test looked at all of the different modalities of language including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
